Our Place, Through Your Lens
A photo competition celebrating the landscapes, people and moments that make our place unique. Open to amateurs and professionals, free to enter.
Every place has its own images: a light like no other, the faces that keep it alive, corners that go unnoticed until someone looks closely. In this competition we invite you to show us your place the way you see it.
The theme
Photograph the place where you live, where you grew up or where you return every summer: its landscape, its streets, its people, its celebrations and its everyday life. We care about your eye, not your equipment. A good idea shot on a phone can stand next to any professional image.
Categories
- Landscape and nature: mountains, sea, rivers, seasons, the countryside around us.
- People: portraits, trades, celebrations, everyday moments.
- City and architecture: streets, buildings, details, life in public space.
- Shot on mobile: any of the themes above, as long as the photo was taken with a mobile phone.
Who can enter
Amateurs and professionals from Greece and abroad, aged 15 and over. Younger entrants need the consent of a parent or guardian. Entry is free.
How to enter
- Create a free account or log in.
- Upload up to 3 photos in JPEG format, up to 5 MB each, with a long side of at least 2,000 pixels.
- Give each photo a title, choose a category and, if you like, tell us the story behind it.
Every photo is checked before it appears. Until the closing date you can delete a photo and upload another in its place.
Judging
The jury sees the photos without the authors’ names and scores them in two rounds: the first selects the finalists, the second the winners. What counts is relevance to the theme, originality, aesthetics and technique. The finalists’ photos also go to a public vote for the Audience Award.
After the competition
Winners and finalists are announced on this page and on pttl.gr. The 20 best photographs are shown in an exhibition at a physical venue and online. You keep the copyright, and every photo is published with your name.

Terms of entry
1Organiser
The competition is organised by the organisation named on the competition page (the "Organiser"). The entry platform, the screening of photos and the coordination of the jury are handled by LensView, a photo and film competition management service.
2Who can enter
The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers from any country, aged 15 and over. Younger entrants may take part only with the consent of a parent or guardian, which the Organiser may request in writing.
Members of the jury, anyone working on the competition on behalf of the Organiser or LensView, and their spouses and first-degree relatives may not enter.
3Duration
Entries are accepted from the start date to the closing date shown on the competition page, Greek time. After the closing date the form closes and no further entries are accepted.
4Submitting photos
- Entry is free and is made only through the competition page, with a personal account.
- Each entrant may submit up to three (3) photos in total, in any categories.
- Files must be JPEG, up to 5 MB each, with a long side of at least 2,000 pixels.
- Each photo needs a title. A description is optional.
- Photos must not carry a watermark, signature, border or any other mark that reveals the author.
5Editing
Standard adjustments are allowed: exposure, contrast, colour, sharpness, cropping, straightening and dust removal. Black-and-white photos and panoramas stitched from consecutive frames of the same scene are also allowed.
Adding or removing elements that change the content of the image is not allowed, and neither are composites. Images created or completed with artificial intelligence are not accepted.
The Organiser may ask finalists for the original capture file (RAW or the original JPEG from the camera or phone). If the file is not sent within seven (7) days, the photo is disqualified.
6Originality and third-party rights
By submitting a photo, the entrant confirms that:
- they are its author and hold all rights to it,
- it has not won an award in another competition,
- they have the consent of any identifiable people in it, and of the parent or guardian of any minors, for the uses set out in these rules,
- it does not infringe the rights of others or break the law.
The entrant is liable to third parties for the accuracy of these statements.
7Copyright and use of the photos
Copyright remains with the author. By entering, the author grants the Organiser and LensView a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce and display their photos for:
- running and judging the competition,
- announcing the results and exhibiting the best photos, at a physical venue and online,
- promoting the competition and its future editions on the website, on pttl.gr, on social media and in the press.
The licence lasts for three (3) years from the closing date. Every use carries the author's name. The photos are not sold or licensed to third parties for commercial use. Any other use requires a new agreement with the author.
For the exhibition at a physical venue, the Organiser may ask the authors of the selected photos for a full-resolution file. Prints are made at the Organiser's expense and are not sold.
8Judging
Every photo is first checked against these rules. The jury then scores the photos without seeing the authors' names, in two rounds: the first selects the finalists and the second the winners.
The criteria are relevance to the theme, originality, aesthetic value and technical quality. The jury's decisions are final. If no photo reaches the standard a prize requires, the jury may decide not to award it.
9Prizes
The prizes are listed on the competition page. Each entrant can win only one jury prize. Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged. Cash prizes are paid by bank transfer, less any deductions required by law.
Winners are notified by email and must reply within ten (10) days. If they do not, the prize may go to the next photo in the ranking. Prizes for winners under 18 are handed to their parent or guardian.
The Audience Award goes to the finalist photo with the most valid votes and is given independently of the jury's prizes. Each person votes once, with their own account. The Organiser may cancel votes cast unfairly, for example from multiple accounts or with automated tools. In case of a tie, the jury decides.
10Disqualification
The Organiser may disqualify, at any stage, photos or entrants that do not follow these rules, provide false information or try to influence the result unfairly. If a disqualification takes place after the awards, the prize must be returned.
11Personal data
Entrants' data is used only for the competition: to manage entries, contact the winners and announce the results. The author's name appears with every photo of theirs that is published. More in the Privacy Policy.
12Changes and cancellation
The Organiser may extend the competition or change these rules for good reason, with a notice on this page. Changes do not apply retroactively to the detriment of those who have already entered. If the competition is cancelled, the photos are not used for any purpose.
13Acceptance and governing law
Entering the competition means accepting these rules. The LensView Terms of Use also apply. These rules are governed by Greek law, and the courts of the Organiser's registered seat have jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions about the competition: info@lensview.gr.
